So, as many may know, on one of my last trips with The Myriad, I broke my phone. It was fairly tragic actually. I had removed my cell phone prior to proceeding through security and placed it safely in my laptop case which, while in the airport, rides on top of my carry-on. After the flight, while waiting for the luggage, I grabbed one of the smarte-carte's...

And set my bag next to it. Then, the gear started arriving through the oversize baggage, so naturally, I turned around and started grabbing the gear. Unbeknown to me, the cart began rolling towards my carry-on, and knocked it over, effectively knocking over my laptop case.
I picked it all up, not thinking much about it... until, later, when I went to grab my phone out of my bag... and it, was... dead... cracked LCD...
Ok, so it had a good run. I had the phone for almost 3 years, which for me and a phone, is literally an eternity. So, now, what phone do I replace it with?
Well, the immediate answer, unfortunately, was Renae's old V3 RAZR which has less capability than most watch calculators!
Well, the first logical decision was to replace it with the newest model, The HTC Fuze (aka Touch Pro)...

While being a very cool phone... I was not sold on the resistive touch screen.
Some might say, well, you are on AT&T so, clearly, you must get an iPhone. Well, honestly, I thought about it, and... well... just too closed for me... I don't feel as in control of a phone as I should be if I pay $400 for it.
The G1 would be a good choice, however, it is designated for TMobile, so no high speed data on AT&T...

The Palm Pre, also a good choice... all the rave at CES this year. Well, it is going to Sprint...

So, what is a techie to do? Well, my father-in-law recently upgraded from a Treo 700w to a Blackberry Curve... I have heard from countless people, including now, aparently the new president... that one's Blackberry is not to be messed with.

So, what does this all boil down to? Well, I think I have finally decided to settle on the Blackberry Bold...

Now, the trick is... paying for it...
